Farmers Leap Wines launches the inaugural ‘Brian’ Shiraz

On Friday September 10 at the Farmers Leap cellar door the inaugural ‘Brian’ Shiraz was launched in front of a crowd of 60 people. The wine is a tribute to Brian Longbottom, the father of Farmers Leap director/owner Scott Longbottom. Many in the audience were long time friends and family members as we all as business colleagues from many years spent living and working in Padthaway.

We heard from Brian’s daughter Jan about Brian’s journey, having arrived in 1938 as a 2 year old. Many great stories were told from over 80 years of history on the farm. We also heard from Farmers Leap winemaker Renae Hirsch about why this wine is so special. Small parcels of premium Shiraz sourced from a small block located within walking distance of where Brian resides today.

The wine is now available at the cellar door and online for a RRP of $70.00 each. The wine is distinct, rare, full of character and quality and still has many years left, just like the man himself.

Cheers, The Farmers Leap Team
