Our vision is for Farmer’s Leap wines to be recognised as a quality brand. A bottle of wine you can pick from your shelf or cellar and you know what you are going to get! Quite simply, a bottle of Farmer’s Leap wine, is a bottle you can trust and enjoy. Whilst remaining true to our values, history and region, that makes our wines worth selecting and drinking every time.

Our farmer has a name – Scott Longbottom. His family have been farming in Padthaway for 4* generations. The unique limestone soils are a part of our farmer’s DNA. Our Sparkling Winemaker

Peta Baverstock

Peta’s journey into winemaking began when she observed the distinct culture of food and wine in her best friend’s Italian family. The sensory fascination, coupled with her scientific inclinations, was ignited during her high school chemistry class discussing fermentation. Her academic path led to study Oenology at Adelaide University. Her choice to specialize in sparkling winemaking emerged as a unique pursuit during her graduation years when the emphasis was mainly on white and red wines. Recognizing the need for differentiation, she was drawn to the meticulous nature of sparkling winemaking that suited her detail-oriented personality. Peta joined Farmer’s Leap in 2017 when she crafted Destiny. Now overseeing ten labels and owning her own label, she relishes the diversity of her role.
